NEW CLASSES: Kickboxing, Thai-Boxing and Fight Fit
The latest additions to our class schedule
Kickboxing
Kickboxing is a combat sport historically developed from Karate, Thai Boxing and Western Boxing, a group of martial arts and stand-up combat sports based on kicking and punching. Kickboxing is often practiced for self-defense, general fitness, or as a contact sport. Our classes allow you to experience the art of kickboxing for a great cardiovascular workout leaving you feeling strong, fit and empowered. You may even choose to embark on our in-house grading programme to get you on the course to your Black Belt.
Kickboxing classes will start on Monday 16th May 2011 and will take place each week at the following times:
Mondays: 5.15pm to 6.15pm
Wednesdays: 12.15pm to 1.15pm
Thai-Boxing
Muay Thai is a combat sport from Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. Our instructor refers to his style as the combat art of eight weapons (hands, feet, knees and elbows). Classes are specifically designed to promote the level of fitness and toughness required for ring competition. Muay Thai has recently gained recognition as a very effective striking base within MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). This class is an intense full-body conditioning workout, focusing largely on the technical aspect of this devastatingly effective martial art.
Thai-Boxing classes will start on Monday 16th May 2011 and will take place each week at the following times:
Mondays: 12.15pm to 1.15pm
Wednesdays: 5.15pm to 6.15pm

Fight Fit is a 30 minute power endurance class geared towards keeping you in fighting form, regardless of your fighting style. The classes promote explosive power and stamina. Give it a try, you don’t have to do all the exercises but you will leave respecting this conditioning class.
